Pallett Valo's Bobby Sachdeva named Male Lawyer of the Year by SABA Toronto

TORONTO - Wednesday, November. 24, 2010

Bobby Sachdeva, a partner at Pallett Valo LLP, Mississauga's largest law firm, has been selected "Male Lawyer of the Year" for 2010 by the South Asian Bar Association (SABA) of Toronto at its gala and awards ceremony held on November 17 at Toronto's Le Meridien King Edward Hotel.

SABA also bestowed the following awards: Distinguished Career, Lawyer of the Year (Female), and a Young Practitioner award.

"Bobby exemplifies the qualities that the awards committee was looking for in Male Lawyer of the Year in terms of his experience and his active involvement in the community as a whole. He is a great role model for younger lawyers," said Sudevi Mukherjee-Gothi, president of SABA.

"Bobby has been a strong supporter of SABA since its inception, has been an active member of SABA, and recently participated in a panel discussion about careers in law in Mississauga," she added.

"The growth of SABA and its relevance within the Toronto legal community in a relatively short period of time is very encouraging," said Bobby Sachdeva.

"Bobby has consistently shown leadership, innovation, and volunteerism in our community - all qualities that we value at Pallett Valo. We congratulate him and wish him continued success at our firm," said Anna Esposito, managing partner of Pallett Valo LLP.

Sachdeva practices in the area of commercial litigation, with a specific focus on bankruptcy and insolvency. He was called to the bar in 1991 and became a partner at Pallett Valo in 2001. He has also served on the Board of the United Way of Peel. He is also a member of the Indo-Canadian Chamber of Commerce.
