Nishi Malik starts her short-term role with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada

Pallett Valo is pleased to announce that Privacy Lawyer Nishi Malik has started a short-term role as Senior Advisor with the Business Advisory Directorate in the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

The Privacy Commissioner of Canada is an Agent of Parliament whose mission is to protect and promote privacy rights. The Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (OPC) oversees compliance with the Privacy Act, which covers the personal information-handling practices of federal government departments and agencies, and the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), Canada’s federal private-sector privacy law.

This is an excellent opportunity for Nishi and we wish her the best of luck for the duration of her role. Nishi will return to Pallett Valo early next year.

Just heard about Pallett Valo being chosen as One of Ontario's Top Three Regional Firms. Congratulations – well deserved.
