Nishi Malik is a Member of the Business Law Practice and Privacy Law Group.
She practices in the areas of general business law, privacy law and access to information requests. Nishi represents a wide-range of clients, from large multinational corporations, to individuals.
Nishi is developing a practice in a wide range of corporate and commercial matters, including the structuring and establishment of new businesses, corporate reorganizations, mergers and acquisitions, shareholder agreements and disputes and various contractual arrangements.
Her practice also focuses on privacy and data security law. She regularly advises clients on regulatory compliance with various provincial, federal and international privacy and access to information laws. She is currently on leave, taking on a short-term role as a Senior Advisor with the Business Advisory Directorate of the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Nishi is a former award-winning investigative reporter and news anchor. She worked for City News in Toronto, Global News in Toronto, Global News National and various NBC and ABC news affiliates in the United States. Her reports jailed criminals, forced municipal governments to change policies and led to the passage of a new law.
