Commercial Real Estate
We are looking for an experienced commercial real estate lawyer who is ready to take a leading role in a busy and challenging practice, constituting an important part of an established business law firm. Broad experience in real property acquisitions and dispositions and secured financing is required. Land development experience is preferred but is not essential.
We are looking for qualified lawyers with commercial litigation experience to join our Litigation Law Group. A strong work ethic, legal, advocacy and organizational skills, combined with the desire to play a key role in a high functioning team are essential to the role. Ideal candidates will have a wide-range of experience in commercial litigation matters including shareholder disputes, contractual disputes, real estate and construction related litigation, asset and debt recovery and injunctive remedies and will be able to work both independently and as a member of a collegial team. Excellent written and oral communication skills in addition to quality client service are a must.
We are looking for an experienced construction lawyer to join our Construction Law Group. The ideal candidate will have more than 8 years of solid construction litigation experience, strong attention to detail, proficiency in drafting construction contracts, demonstrated ability in supervising junior associates, and a good understanding of the realities of providing excellent client service. Teraview experience is preferred but is not essential.
Employment and Labour
We are looking for an experienced lawyer to complement our existing labour and employment practice. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience representing employers in a wide range of workplace matters, including providing human resource advice, conducting wrongful dismissal and other employment litigation, conducting workplace investigations, labour board and arbitration proceedings, and defending human rights applications, workplace safety and insurance claims and health and safety prosecutions. The preferred candidate will have a proven ability to market, grow and be a leader in this practice area.
We are looking for a junior level lawyer to join our existing labour and employment practice. The successful candidate will have experience representing employers in a wide range of workplace matters, including wrongful dismissal and human rights litigation, drafting employment contracts and policies, and labour board proceedings. The preferred candidate will have strong academic qualifications, be thoroughly knowledgeable of employment-related legislation, and have a minimum of 2 years of relevant labour and employment law experience.
