We are the largest law firm in Peel Region and trace our roots to the establishment of Pallett & Pallett in 1948.
The founding partners were the late Sidney Valo and the late John Pallett. Around 1980, Pallett & Pallett merged with another firm called Milman Valo, hence the name Pallett Valo.
Pallett Valo LLP’s main office is based in Mississauga. We also have two state-of-the-art dedicated workspaces (by appointment only) in downtown Toronto and Vaughan.
We are a group of dynamic legal advisors, strategists and supporters of the entrepreneurial leaders and business managers of today and tomorrow.
Our clients range in size from emerging growth ventures – both new and old economy – to established companies, both private and public, including recognized world leaders in many different industries. They include financial institutions, municipalities, and other governmental agencies. We are also frequently sought out to act as counsel to other professional services firms.
Pallett Valo’s Historical Timeline
1948
Establishment of the law firm, Pallett & Pallett in Port Credit. Founded by John Cameron Pallett and his brother George Leslie Pallett. The firm focuses on Real Estate Law.
1980s
Pallett & Pallett merges with Milman Valo Barsky, another Port Credit law firm, to become Pallett Valo Barsky & Hutcheson.
Offices move to Square One area.
As the business grows, the firm goes through a few name changes and becomes Pallett Valo in 1987.
Firm expands areas of practice, adding corporate and litigation lawyers.
1990s
Offices move to Sussex Centre
on Burnhamthorpe Rd. The first of many female partners join the firm.
1997
Firm adopts a more strategic focus on serving the business community. First female partner to serve as managing partner.
2000
The firm officially becomes Pallett Valo LLP and introduces a professional management team.
2005
Right-sized Thinking™ approach is introduced.
2007
First honoured by our business community for Excellence in Business Awards in Peel Business Times (formerly Mississauga Business Times). Since 2007, we have been voted the Platinum Award Winner eight times and the Gold Award Winner three times.
2008
Our first lawyer is recognized in the
Canadian Legal Lexpert® Directory. Lexpert-ranked lawyers are acknowledged as leaders in their field, prominent in their practice areas and professional organizations, and recognized as professionals of excellence by their colleagues.
2011
Canadian Lawyer magazine honours us as one of the Top 10 Ontario Regional Law Firms, an honour that is repeated in each of the following bi-annual surveys: 2011, 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019, 2021 and 2023.
2012
Pallett Valo broadens its business law expertise and its geographical reach. The firm joins an international association of law and accounting firms.
2013
The growing firm moves into state-of-the-art offices at 77 City Centre Drive.
2017
Three lawyers are recognized as a Lexpert-ranked lawyers.
2018
John Russo assumes position as current managing partner.
Two additional workspaces open in Toronto’s Financial District and Vaughan.
Diversity and Inclusion Committee and PV Women’s Network formally launch.
The Law Society of Ontario recognizes more Pallett Valo lawyers as Certified Specialists.
Business Law Partner, Matt Kindree, is honoured as a Lexpert Rising Star: Leading Lawyer Under 40.
2019

International connectivity expanded by joining Geneva Group International (GGI).
