MISSISSAUGA, ONTARIO – September 9, 2021 – Pallett Valo LLP, the largest business law firm in Peel Region, is proud to announce that its senior counsel, Alex Ilchenko, has been appointed as Associate Judge to the Ontario Superior Court of Justice effective August 12, 2021. Alex was sworn in on August 16, 2021.
In his new role Alex will act as Associate Judge and Registrar in Bankruptcy, drawing on over 25 years of experience as a litigator, with a strong insolvency and corporate restructuring commercial litigation practice. He is a Certified Specialist in Bankruptcy and Insolvency law and holds a Bachelor of Law degree from the University of Ottawa. Alex has served on the Ontario Bar Association Insolvency Law Executive for 16 years and is the past chair of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Litigation Practice Group at The Advocates’ Society. He joined Pallett Valo LLP in 2012 and has been its practice group head for insolvency and restructuring for the last few years.
