Pallett Valo co-hosted a legal information session with the Toronto Japanese Association of Commerce & Industry (Toronto Shokokai) on June 19th. The seminar was titled “Employment Law Update – Recent Changes to the Ontario Employment Standards Act, 2000” and took place at Pallett Valo’s Mississauga office.
During this seminar Partner Andy Balaura explained the recent changes to the provincial employment standards legislation following the passage of Bill 47 and Bill 66. He also spoke about the need for employers to regularly review their workplace policies and practical steps to take to minimize the risk of potential constructive dismissal claims.
