Andy has extensive experience in advising and representing corporate clients on a wide range of human resource and workplace law matters. He regularly drafts employment contracts, independent contractor agreements and workplace policies. He advises on employee terminations, severance packages, and employer obligations arising under the Ontario Employment Standards Act, Human Rights Code, Workplace Safety and Insurance Act, and the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
He has appeared as counsel before all levels of the Ontario Court and before numerous administrative tribunals on wrongful dismissal litigation, injunctions, health and safety prosecutions, and human rights, Labour Board and WSIB proceedings.
He regularly provides practical legal advice and training on workplace investigations, and compliance obligations under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act and the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act.
He also conducts numerous and custom training seminars on a variety of employment law topics. Andy strives to deliver proactive, practical and business-focused workplace solutions in a timely manner.
