Temporary Layoffs

A temporary layoff occurs when an employer severely reduces or stops an employee’s employment with the understanding that the employee will at some point, return to work.

While temporarily laid off, that employee is still considered an employee of the company. Our lawyers have a strong understanding of the law and risks surrounding temporary layoffs.
