Ted has a broad commercial litigation and construction litigation practice, representing builders, developers, general contractors, sub-contractors, entrepreneurs, privately-held family businesses and corporations, colleges, multi-national corporations and individuals.
He appears regularly before all Courts in the Province of Ontario, on motions, applications, trials and appeals including administrative tribunals and represents clients in various forums of alternative dispute resolution, including mediation and arbitration.
Ted’s extensive experience enables him to deal with most problems and disputes that arise in a commercial context. He has significant expertise in handling disputes surrounding the purchase, sale, development and leasing of real estate as well as construction related disputes in acting for various parties involved in the construction pyramid including, owners, general contractors, subcontractors, material suppliers, developers, mortgagees, etc., related to delay and deficiency claims, professional and contractor negligence matters and various contractual disputes related thereto. Ted also represents clients in a diverse range of corporate, shareholder and oppression litigation.
He also acts in defamation (libel and slander) matters, product liability cases, professional negligence matters, asset and debt recovery cases, trademark and copyright infringement matters, as well as injunctive proceedings including, Mareva Injunctions, Anton Piller and Norwich Orders and in enforcing foreign judgments and other private international law matters.
